His Bayern side was defined by technical dominance. Guardiola pushed players like Philipp Lahm, David Alaba, Jérôme Boateng, Thiago and Thomas Müller into fluid, intelligent systems that often overwhelmed Bundesliga opponents. The main criticism was Europe: despite reaching the Champions League semi-finals, Bayern never got over the line under him. Even so, his spell is still seen as one of Bayern’s most sophisticated and influential modern eras.
