David Alaba was one of Bayern Munich’s most important players of the 2010s. Coming through the club after joining in 2008 and debuting for the first team in 2010, he developed into an elite left-back who could also play at centre-back or in midfield. He stood out for pace, technique, intelligence, versatility, and a superb left foot. Bayern say he made 431 competitive appearances, won 10 Bundesliga titles, and left in 2021 with 25 trophies overall, making him one of the most decorated players in club history. He was a key part of both the 2013 treble and the 2020 sextuple-winning team.
