Marc-André ter Stegen has been Barcelona’s long-term No.1 since arriving from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2014, blending elite shot-stopping with goalkeeper-as-playmaker distribution. He was part of the 2014–15 treble squad and has stayed through multiple rebuilds, becoming one of the club’s senior leaders and captains. Barcelona’s official records list him at 400+ appearances and 170+ clean sheets for the club. His standout league season was 2022–23, when he won the Zamora Trophy and kept 26 clean sheets, matching a La Liga record.
