Andrés Iniesta’s last game for Barcelona was the final match of the 2017–18 La Liga season, a 1–0 home win over Real Sociedad at Camp Nou on 20 May 2018. It was staged as a farewell: Iniesta captained the side, played through the middle, and received repeated ovations throughout. Late on, he was substituted to a full-stadium standing ovation, with teammates forming a guard of honour as he left the pitch. Barcelona had already secured the league title, so the night became a celebration of Iniesta’s era—his trophies, his style, and his role in the club’s modern peak.
