Gheorghe “Gică” Hagi played for Barcelona from 1994 to 1996, arriving after starring at the 1994 World Cup. Used mainly as an attacking midfielder/forward, he brought explosive long-range shooting, flair in tight spaces, and moments of improvisation, but his time at Barça was stop-start and often disrupted by form and injuries. In total he made 76 official appearances and scored 18 goals, and won the 1994 Spanish Super Cup.
