Tim Cahill’s volley against the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup is one of the greatest goals in tournament history. Just seconds after Australia conceded, the ball dropped from a long diagonal pass, and Cahill struck it first time with his left foot on the volley. The shot flew into the top corner, leaving Jasper Cillessen helpless. The goal made it 1–1 and stunned the world. It showcased Cahill’s technique, timing, and big-game mentality, and is still remembered as one of the finest World Cup goals ever scored.
