Ian Wright was Arsenal’s explosive, emotional goal machine from 1991 to 1998—an instinctive striker who lived off sharp movement, quick finishes, and relentless energy. Arriving from Crystal Palace, he hit the ground flying and became the club’s main scorer through the early Premier League years, thriving on chaos in the box and celebrating like every goal meant everything. Wright won the FA Cup and League Cup double in 1993, the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1994, and the Premier League title in 1997–98 (his final Arsenal season). He left as Arsenal’s record goalscorer with 185, later surpassed by Thierry Henry, but remains a beloved modern legend.
