George Graham (manager 1986–1995) built Arsenal into a ruthless winning machine with discipline, organisation, and that famous defensive steel. He hardened the culture, perfected the back four’s structure, and made Arsenal lethal on set pieces and in tight games—“1–0 to the Arsenal” wasn’t a joke, it was a method. Trophies followed: league titles in 1988–89 and 1990–91, League Cup wins in 1987 and 1993, the 1993 FA Cup, and the 1994 European Cup Winners’ Cup. His reign ended after financial misconduct allegations, but his footballing legacy at Arsenal is enormous: he laid the foundations for the modern club’s winning standards.
