Héctor Bellerín’s Arsenal career (2013–2022) was a mix of electric peak years, leadership, and “what if” after injuries. A La Masia-raised academy product, he broke through in 2014–15 and instantly changed the team with ridiculous recovery pace—he could defend huge space and still overlap like a winger. At his best he was a modern full-back: quick combinations, underlapping runs, cut-backs, and aggressive pressing, while still making last-ditch sprints to bail Arsenal out.
He won three FA Cups (2015, 2017, 2020), became a vice-captain, and was a popular figure off the pitch too. The ACL injury in 2019 took a lot of his explosiveness, and his role gradually shifted before he left permanently in 2022. Still, peak Bellerín was box-office and crucial to Arsenal’s mid-2010s style.
