Diego Maradona with Argentina national football team is the definition of iconic highs and intense drama. He earned 91 caps and scored 34 goals from 1977–1994. His peak is the 1986 World Cup, where he captained Argentina to the title and won the Golden Ball, producing the “Hand of God” and the “Goal of the Century” vs England en route to lifting the trophy. He also led Argentina to the 1990 World Cup final. His international career ended after being sent home from USA ’94 following a failed drug test.
