Gunnar Nordahl was one of AC Milan’s first true superstar strikers and still stands as the club’s all-time top scorer. Milan’s official legends page says he joined in January 1949 after winning Olympic gold with Sweden, then scored 221 goals for the club and became Serie A top scorer five times. He was a classic powerhouse No. 9: strong, direct, ruthless in the box, and incredibly consistent. With Milan, Nordahl won two Serie A titles and became the central figure of the famous Gre-No-Li Swedish trio alongside Gunnar Gren and Nils Liedholm. More than a historical great, he remains one of the most important goalscorers in Italian football history.
