AC Milan’s 1994 Champions League win is one of the club’s greatest European performances. On 18 May 1994 in Athens, Fabio Capello’s side beat Johan Cruyff’s Barcelona 4–0 in the final, with two goals from Daniele Massaro, a famous lob from Dejan Savićević, and a fourth from Marcel Desailly. Barcelona were favourites, but Milan produced a tactical masterclass despite missing key defenders Franco Baresi and Alessandro Costacurta through suspension. The result gave Milan their fifth European Cup and showed the full power of that era’s side: disciplined, ruthless, and technically brilliant. It remains one of the most dominant Champions League final displays ever.
