Alex McLeish is one of Aberdeen F.C.'s greatest-ever players and a key figure in the club's golden era under Sir Alex Ferguson. Joining in 1978, the commanding centre-back formed a legendary defensive partnership with Willie Miller. McLeish helped Aberdeen win three Scottish league titles, four Scottish Cups, the European Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, including the famous victory over Real Madrid CF. Renowned for his leadership, aerial ability and composure, McLeish made more than 700 appearances for the Dons, cementing his status as one of the finest defenders in Scottish football history.
