Wolves’ 1960 FA Cup win was the club’s fourth triumph in the competition and the last time they lifted it. The final was played at Wembley on 7 May 1960, where Wolves beat Blackburn Rovers 3–0. Michael McGrath’s own goal gave Wolves the lead just before half-time, then Norman Deeley scored twice in the second half to seal it. The side, managed by Stan Cullis and captained by Bill Slater, completed the victory in front of a crowd of more than 98,000. It was a fitting highlight of Wolves’ golden era and remains one of the club’s most celebrated achievements.
