Tim Ream has been a steady, late-blooming pillar for the United States men’s national team. A left-footed center back, he debuted for the USMNT in 2010 and became especially important later in his career because of his calm passing, positioning, and leadership. He started all four U.S. matches at the 2022 World Cup, helping anchor the back line during the run to the round of 16. Ream has also appeared in multiple Gold Cups and was part of U.S. teams that won Concacaf Nations League titles. As of U.S. Soccer’s profile and current reporting, he has 79 caps and one international goal.
