Michael Bradley was one of the most important midfielders of his U.S. men’s national team era. He earned 151 caps and scored 17 goals, ranking among the most-capped players in USMNT history. A hard-running central midfielder, he combined range, passing, and leadership, and he often set the team’s tempo. Bradley played in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, scoring a key goal against Slovenia in 2010, and he captained the U.S. for much of the 2010s. He also helped the Americans win Gold Cups in 2007, 2013, and 2017, and was a major part of the 2009 Confederations Cup runner-up team.
