Tim Sherwood was a tough, influential midfielder for Spurs in two spells (1999–2003 and 2008–2009). He was a natural leader—combative, vocal, and smart in positioning—often doing the gritty work that let more creative players shine. Sherwood captained Tottenham and was central to the 1999 League Cup win, scoring in the final against Leicester to help end a long trophy wait. After returning late in his career, he added experienced depth before moving into coaching. He later managed Spurs in 2013–14, but as a player he’s best remembered for leadership and that cup-final moment.
