Joe Jordan was a fearless, hard-running centre-forward who became a major Scotland figure in the 1970s and early 80s. He won 52 caps and scored 11 goals for Scotland national football team from 1973–1982. A classic old-school No.9—brave in the air, aggressive in the box—Jordan’s standout international claim is being the only Scot to score at three World Cups: 1974, 1978 and 1982. He’s also remembered for big qualifying contributions, including crucial goals that helped Scotland reach tournaments.
