Steve Clarke is one of the most successful managers in the history of the Scotland national football team. Appointed in 2019, Clarke transformed Scotland from an inconsistent side into a regular qualifier for major tournaments, restoring belief among players and supporters. His greatest early achievement came in 2020 when he guided Scotland to UEFA Euro 2020, ending a 23-year absence from major tournaments. He followed that by leading Scotland to Euro 2024 and then the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the nation's first World Cup appearance since 1998.
