Ryan Yates is a homegrown Nottingham Forest midfielder who has become a key leader of the modern side, regularly wearing the captain’s armband. A product of Forest’s academy, he returned from multiple lower-league loans to establish himself as a high-energy, ball-winning central midfielder who sets the intensity out of possession and keeps play moving simply in possession. He has been part of the club’s rise from the Championship to the Premier League era, and is a long-serving one-club figure in the current squad. In the Premier League he has over 100 appearances for Forest, and he’s also delivered big moments in cup pressure, including a decisive penalty in an FA Cup shootout.
