Nigel Clough is a Nottingham Forest modern-era icon and Brian Clough’s son. A homegrown forward/midfielder, he made over 300 league appearances for Forest from 1984–1993 (plus a brief loan return in 1996–97) and scored 101 league goals. He was a key figure in Forest’s late-Clough success, scoring twice as Forest beat Luton 3–1 in the 1989 League Cup final and helping them retain the trophy in 1990. After leaving Forest he played for Liverpool and Manchester City, later moving into management.
