Denis Irwin at Manchester United (1990–2002) was the definition of elite consistency: a calm, two-footed full-back who could play either side, defend 1v1, and still hurt teams with set pieces. Sir Alex called him one of his best signings, and it’s easy to see why—529 appearances and 33 goals, many from pens/free-kicks. He was a key starter through the dynasty years, winning 7 Premier League titles plus the 1999 Champions League (Treble season). Not flashy—just relentlessly reliable, which is why teammates and fans rate him so highly.
