Carlos Tevez’s Man City spell (2009–2013) was pure edge: relentless pressing, street-football intensity, and loads of goals. Signed from United, he became City’s first real superstar of the new era and captained them to the 2011 FA Cup, ending the trophy drought (he was man of the match in the final). He won the Golden Boot runner-up vibe most seasons and helped set standards for work rate in attack. The relationship soured with the infamous 2011 “refused to play” incident, but he returned and still played a part in the title-winning years.
