Micah Richards is a Manchester City fan favourite: a homegrown, explosive right-back who broke through as a teenager in 2005 and quickly became known for power, pace and personality. In 2007 he became City’s youngest first-team captain. Injuries—especially knee problems—kept interrupting his best years, but he was still part of the squad that won the 2011 FA Cup and the iconic 2011–12 Premier League title. After leaving City he had spells at Fiorentina and Aston Villa, then retired in 2019 and moved into punditry.
