Ederson’s Man City spell (2017–2025) redefined what a top goalkeeper could be in Pep’s system. Signed from Benfica in 2017, he wasn’t just a shot-stopper—he was a playmaker, launching attacks with clipped passes, lasers into midfield, and quick restarts. He made 372 appearances, kept 168 clean sheets, won 18 major trophies (including six Premier Leagues and the 2023 Champions League/treble), and took three straight Premier League Golden Gloves (2020–2022). He left for Fenerbahçe in 2025 after eight trophy-laden years.
