Luis Suárez at Liverpool (2011–2014) was box-office brilliance: relentless pressing, outrageous skill, and finishing that felt unfair. He could create a goal from nothing—dribbling through crowds, improvising angles, and snapping shots off either foot. His peak was 2013–14, when he scored 31 Premier League goals in 33 games, won the Golden Boot and PFA Players’ Player of the Year, and drove Liverpool’s title charge with Sturridge in the “SAS” partnership. He wasn’t without controversy, but on pure football output he produced one of the greatest individual seasons in Liverpool—and Premier League—history before leaving for Barcelona in 2014.
