Divock Origi vs Barcelona in May 2019 is basically Liverpool folklore. In the Champions League semi-final second leg at Anfield (7 May 2019), Liverpool needed something close to impossible after losing 3–0 at the Camp Nou. Origi started and scored the 1–0 early, reacting quickest in the box. Then, after Wijnaldum’s quick-fire brace made it 3–3 on aggregate, Origi delivered the killer blow: 4–0 from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s legendary quick corner, catching Barcelona asleep. Liverpool won the tie 4–3 on aggregate, and Origi’s two goals became a cornerstone of the whole 2019 Champions League triumph.
