Glen Johnson at Liverpool (2009–2015) was a modern, attack-minded right-back who brought pace and flair down the flank. At his best he was a brilliant carrier—dribbling past pressure, overlapping aggressively, and linking with the right winger to create overloads. He wasn’t a classic “cross every time” full-back; more a runner who could break lines and pop up in the box, and he chipped in with a few memorable goals. The flip side: injuries and defensive lapses hurt his consistency, especially later on. Still, in the early years he was one of the league’s most dangerous full-backs and a key part of Liverpool’s transition era.
