Jeremie Frimpong is a rapid, attack-first right-back/wing-back who plays like an extra winger: constant overlaps, sharp underlaps, and loads of final-third actions. He broke out at Celtic, exploded under Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen, and joined Liverpool on a long-term deal in May 2025. What makes him different is his output from deep-wide areas—Leverkusen used him high and wide to stretch teams, then hurt them with cutbacks and low crosses. In the Bundesliga for Leverkusen he posted 23 goals and 25 assists in 133 appearances, which is outrageous for a defender.
