Peter Crouch’s most famous overhead kick for Liverpool came against Galatasaray in the Champions League group stage at Anfield on 6 December 2006. With the game level late on, Crouch produced an acrobatic bicycle kick from a loose ball in the box to score the winner, sealing a 3–2 victory and sparking a classic Anfield roar. It’s remembered because it summed him up: a 6'7" striker doing something improbably technical, in a big European night, at a crucial moment of the match.
