Daniel Farke became Leeds United head coach in July 2023, arriving with a reputation as a two-time Championship winner with Norwich City, and he signed a four-year deal at Elland Road. In his first season (2023–24) Leeds fell short of automatic promotion and lost the play-off final to Southampton at Wembley. He then guided Leeds to the Championship title in 2024–25 on goal difference, sealing promotion back to the Premier League.
