England’s 2018 World Cup last-16 against Colombia went to penalties after a 1–1 draw in Moscow on 3 July 2018: Harry Kane scored a second-half penalty, then Yerry Mina equalised in stoppage time. In the shootout, Kane, Rashford, Trippier and Dier scored for England; Jordan Henderson had one saved by David Ospina. For Colombia, Uribe hit the bar and Bacca had his kick saved by Jordan Pickford, letting Eric Dier convert the winner for a 4–3 shootout victory—England’s first-ever World Cup shootout win.
