Frank Lampard made 106 appearances for England (1999–2014), scoring 29 goals, mainly as a box-to-box midfielder with late runs into the area and long-range shooting. He played at Euro 2004, 2006 World Cup, Euro 2008 qualifiers (England did not qualify), 2010 World Cup, and Euro 2012. Internationally he was often paired with Steven Gerrard, a combination that never consistently clicked as it did for their clubs, despite both being elite. His most infamous England moment came at the 2010 World Cup vs Germany, when his shot clearly crossed the line but the goal was not given.
