Mark Bright was one of Crystal Palace’s most important modern forwards. He joined in 1986 and formed the famous “Wright and Bright” partnership with Ian Wright, one of the best strike pairings in Palace history. Bright played a huge role in the club’s rise under Steve Coppell, helping Palace win promotion in 1989, reach the 1990 FA Cup Final, and finish third in the top flight in 1990–91. Palace’s official site still highlights that partnership as iconic in club history. Strong in the air, mobile, and a reliable scorer, Bright remains one of the defining players of Palace’s late-1980s and early-1990s era.
