Joe Cole was Chelsea’s homegrown-style flair player in the Abramovich breakthrough years, playing 2003–2010 after joining from West Ham. A sharp dribbler who could play wide or as a No.10, he mixed creativity with timely goals—most memorably his rocket against Manchester United in 2006 and his World Cup volley for England that same summer. In league terms he made 183 Premier League appearances and scored 27 goals for Chelsea. He collected a major honours haul: three Premier League titles, three FA Cups, and two League Cups with the club.
