Reece James is Chelsea’s academy-made right-back who blends power, technique, and elite delivery. After captaining youth sides and a standout Wigan loan, he became a first-team regular from 2019, offering overlap runs, pinpoint crossing, and set-piece threat while also tucking inside as a third centre-back in possession. He helped win the 2021 Champions League, plus the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup that year, and was named club captain in 2023. His biggest hurdle has been recurring injuries interrupting momentum.
