When Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta faced Celtic F.C. in the Champions League, the most famous chapter was 2012–13. At the Camp Nou on 23 Oct 2012, Iniesta scored and Jordi Alba hit a stoppage-time winner as Barcelona won 2–1. Then on 7 Nov 2012 at Celtic Park, Celtic pulled off a classic 2–1 upset—defending for their lives, scoring via Victor Wanyama and teenage sub Tony Watt, with Messi grabbing a late reply. A year later, Barcelona thrashed Celtic 6–1 (11 Dec 2013).
