Paddy McCourt’s Celtic spell (2008–2013) was all about flashes of genius. Signed from Derry City for £200,000, he became a cult favourite for outrageous dribbling and two iconic solo goals: one in the League Cup at Falkirk (Sept 2009) and another in the league vs St Mirren (Sept 2009). Fitness and injuries meant he was used mostly off the bench (only 19 starts), finishing with 89 appearances / 10 goals. He still collected medals: Scottish Cups (2011, 2013) and league titles (2011–12, 2012–13) before leaving in 2013.
