Julián Araujo joined Celtic F.C. on loan from FC Barcelona in January 2024, later making the move permanent. Araujo is a dynamic right-back, known for his pace, energy, and attacking overlaps. He brought international experience with Mexico and was seen as a modern full-back who fits Celtic’s high-tempo style. Although injuries initially slowed his impact, he gradually worked into the squad and provided competition and depth on the right side of defence. His signing reflected Celtic’s strategy of recruiting young players with strong resale potential from top academies.
