Lloyd Owusu’s Brentford legacy is about goals, connection with the fans, and cult-hero status. He joined from Slough Town in 1998 and became a major figure across two spells, scoring 87 goals in 250 games, which Brentford list as the club’s seventh-highest total. He was central to the 1998–99 Third Division title-winning team, scoring 25 goals, including the winner against Cambridge United that clinched the title. Owusu mixed power, work rate, and charisma, and his “Raise the Roof” celebration made him especially popular with supporters. His place in Brentford’s Hall of Fame reflects how deeply he is tied to the club’s modern history.
