Christoph Klarer is an Austrian centre-back who joined Birmingham City from Darmstadt 98 on a three-year deal in July 2024. He quickly became a key starter at the back and, by August 2025, Birmingham announced him as the club’s captain. Tall (about 1.91m/6'3") and right-footed, Klarer is known as a composed, physical defender who helps organise the line and build play from deep.
