Brian Little is an Aston Villa favourite in two roles: as a player and as a manager. As a player (early–mid 1970s), he was a sharp, energetic forward and part of the side that won the League Cup in 1975 (Villa’s first major trophy in the modern era). As manager (1994–1998), he built an exciting, attacking team and delivered silverware with the 1996 League Cup, when Villa beat Leeds 3–0 at Wembley. His tenure is remembered for flair players like Dwight Yorke and for Villa regularly pushing toward the top end of the Premier League.
