Samir Nasri’s Arsenal spell (2008–2011) was a tale of rising class and abrupt exit. Technically superb, he brought close control, sharp turns, and that ability to knit play together between the lines. Under Wenger he evolved from a silky wide player into a more central creator, hitting his peak in 2010–11 when he was one of Arsenal’s best performers—gliding past markers, combining quickly, and adding goals (notably in the Champions League vs Porto). But contract uncertainty and a desire to win immediately led to a sour end, and he left for Manchester City in 2011, which hurt his standing with many fans. Still, in pure talent terms, his best Arsenal form was top-class.
