Olivier Giroud’s Arsenal years (2012–2018) were defined by selfless centre-forward play, big-game moments, and constant usefulness—even when he wasn’t scoring every week. He wasn’t a sprinter, but he was brilliant at holding the ball up, linking play, and bringing wide runners into the game, with elite aerial ability and a knack for clever flicks. Giroud scored important goals in cup runs and was part of the teams that ended Arsenal’s trophy drought, winning three FA Cups (2014, 2015, 2017). His most iconic Arsenal moment is still the outrageous scorpion kick vs Crystal Palace on 1 January 2017, later winning the FIFA Puskás Award. He left in 2018, remembered as a cult hero who made others better.
