Diego Maradona’s FIFA World Cup career is one of football’s most dramatic. He debuted in 1982, but his defining moment came in 1986, when he captained Argentina national football team to the title with one of the greatest individual tournaments ever. He scored the famous “Hand of God” and “Goal of the Century” against England and finished with 5 goals and 5 assists. In 1990, he led Argentina to another final, losing to Germany. His World Cup story ended controversially in 1994, when he was sent home after failing a drug test.
