Jesper Karlsson joined Aberdeen on a season-long loan from Bologna on deadline day, 1 September 2025, reuniting with manager Jimmy Thelin. A right-footed left winger/attacking midfielder, the Sweden international brought direct running, cut-inside shooting and set-piece quality to Pittodrie. By late 2025 he had 21 appearances and 6 goals in all competitions, including 5 league goals and a UEFA Conference League strike. He often drifts inside to combine, yet still tracks back hard and presses with intensity.
