Andy Considine is an Aberdeen modern-era great: a homegrown defender (centre-back/left-back) who debuted on 15 May 2004 and became a long-serving stalwart across 18 seasons. Club tributes credit him with 571 appearances in a Dons shirt (645 senior games overall), placing him fourth on Aberdeen’s all-time appearances list. He was part of Derek McInnes’ teams that re-established Aberdeen near the top end and he won the 2014 Scottish League Cup. A late Scotland call-up arrived in October 2020 (3 caps). A serious cruciate injury vs Qarabağ in 2021–22 preceded his emotional farewell in 2022.
