Ross Jenkins was a prolific Watford striker and a major figure in the club’s rise under Graham Taylor. Signed in 1972, he became known for his strength, aerial ability and reliable goalscoring. He played a key role as Watford climbed from the Fourth Division, forming a powerful partnership with Luther Blissett. Jenkins scored heavily in the late 1970s and early 1980s, helping establish the team’s attacking identity. Although sometimes overshadowed by Blissett and John Barnes, Jenkins remains one of Watford’s great centre-forwards and one of the club’s leading all-time goalscorers.
