Trevor Sinclair became a QPR favourite after joining from Blackpool in 1993, establishing himself as an exciting winger renowned for his pace, athleticism and spectacular goals; his defining moment came in the 1997 FA Cup against Barnsley, when he launched himself into an extraordinary bicycle kick from outside the penalty area, a strike that won BBC Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season and remains one of English football’s most iconic goals; Sinclair made more than 150 appearances for Rangers during a difficult period that included relegation from the Premier League in 1996, before joining West Ham United in 1998 and later representing England at the 2002 World Cup.
