Joe Wark is a Motherwell legend, spending his entire senior career at Fir Park from 1968 to 1984 and making more than 500 appearances; an exceptionally consistent left-back renowned for his tackling, positioning and loyalty, Wark was a cornerstone of the Motherwell defence throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, helping the club win promotion back to the top flight in 1981/82, with his remarkable service and dependability earning him recognition as one of the finest and most respected players in the club’s history.
